55% of people around the globe live in cities and that number is set to rise to 70% by 2050. In the United States 80% of people already live in cities, but many report doing so without a great deal of satisfaction. At their best, cities provide economic opportunity, cultural variety, and creative expression. However, too often the best qualities of cities are masked by inequality, lack of services, transportation gridlock, and poor environmental quality. Leading figures in energy, transportation, technology, business, and public policy are coming together to address the biggest challenges and opportunities for cities.

Join Paula Gold-Williams, President & CEO of CPS Energy as she shares how San Antonio is working to decarbonize energy, modernize their grid, and still provide affordable energy for a diverse and growing community. CPS Energy’s “Flexible Path” works to dramatically reduce carbon intensive energy generation through digital transformation and integrating renewables with a cost-conscious approach for their customers. Paula will be joined by Guy Diedrich, Vice President, Global Innovation Officer for Cisco, and Zpryme’s Erin Hardick to discuss how San Antonio and other cities can leverage new collaboration models and technology to ensure all citizens can benefit from digital transformation and cleaner energy.
