As most of the country has started to open up or in a stage of opening soon and we return to a new evolving normal, there are many challenges in front of us.

Specifically, some of us have been working on the challenges that face the energy industry in North America, which is in the most dynamic phase of its history: the technology of generation, transmission, distribution, and the regulatory policies that are constantly evolving.

Combined with the dramatic changes in consumer behavior and expectations, these forces create an extremely challenging environment for all the stakeholders. With the fossil fuel markets in significant turmoil, all of the stakeholders – utilities, independent generators (both large scale and small scale; traditional utility-grade and distributed facilities), retailers, energy management businesses, grid operators, regulators and consumer advocates all need to come together.

With that in mind, we have had a series of roundtable discussion webinars – each focused on the world from one set of stakeholders’ point of view.

Our roundtable of experts include, Peter Kelly-DetwilerNisha DesaiJagan LenkaLindsey Margiotta and Upendra Chivukula will answer questions like:

  • Technology is emboldening the customer to be a more active participant, but customers also wants life simplified, what solutions can a retailer or utility offer that is also a de-commoditize offering so its unique and cannot be shopped?
  • What are the biggest misconceptions that people have when they talk about energy consumer behavior?
  • What are some of the challenges that Utilities are facing in implementing effective preference management?
  • Does having regulations make it harder or easier to educate the customer?
  • and many other customer focused questions to be discussed
