The Texas-centric smart city solutions-based event to showcase homegrown innovations and technology aimed at making Texas cities a better place to live for all

HOUSTON, TX…On Wednesday,  April 26th, 2023, Houston will be the epicenter for innovation and resiliency as the city  hosts the Texas Smart City Summit.

Started by the Austin Smart City Alliance, the Texas Smart City Summit gathers city and industry leaders from all over the Lone Star state to share ideas, best practices and emerging technologies, all aimed at making Texas the country’s leader in Smart Cities. The Texas Smart Cities Summits address these aspects and offer opportunities to collaborate on how to improve and implement solutions into our communities.

Zpryme joined forces with the Austin Smart City Alliance and in 2022 took the Summit to the  City of San Antonio and now the City of Houston. This traveling Summit will tour all of Texas over the next few years to generate thought leadership and partnerships in Smart Cities across the state.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner looks forward to welcoming  the Texas Smart City Summit to  Space City, noting that it was home to the first Moon Shot. That history of innovation is fundamental to creating better, cleaner, smarter cities. “We believe that any obstacle, no matter how difficult, can be overcome with ingenuity, hard work and innovation,” he said.

Featured speakers are Jesse Bounds, Director of the Mayor’s Office of Innovation, the City of Houston, Tomika Monterville, Director of Transportation, City of San Antonio, Kylie Jackson, Assistant Innovation Director, City of Sugarland, Anthony Abuta, Director and Technologist for the Smart Cities & Intelligent Design, Intel, and many more.
