With solar and storage technologies advancing and becoming more affordable, the industry is ripe for innovation. Clean energy is poised to provide resiliency in the face of extreme weather and support American economic growth. Join Jigar Shah, Becca Jones-Albertus, and Zpryme for a virtual town hall conversation on the state of clean energy in the US, challenges that lie ahead, and how the industry can continue to drive energy transformation.

This discussion will cover:

  • How the Department of Energy is championing innovation in the solar industry
  • How clean energy investments and innovation can drive job growth and the economic recovery
  • Why now is the “perfect time” to innovate in the solar industry
  • How we can provide more opportunities for innovation to underserved groups and communities

This town hall is presented by the U.S. Department of Energy American-Made Solar Prize. The American-Made Solar Prize is a $3 million prize competition designed to energize U.S. solar manufacturing through a series of contests and the development of a diverse and powerful support network that leverages national laboratories, energy incubators, and other resources across the country. Submissions are due October 8, 2020.
