-New virtual app teaching students about four different sources of energy set to launch in San Antonio

Austin, Texas (October 20, 2021) – Zpryme, an Austin-based energy research, media, and XR company challenging the status quo of energy, announced today a partnership with CPS Energy, the nation’s largest municipally owned electric and natural gas company, to roll out a dual language (Spanish and English) educational augmented reality (AR) application. The AR app, called Electrify San Antonio, will bring a new and engaging experience for students to learn about the energy production and distribution cycle. The app explores a multifaceted approach to providing electricity through various resources and aligns with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) science standards provided by Disco Learning Media, a subsidiary of ProBility Media Corp (OTCPK: PBYA).

“We are very excited about expanding our current partnership with CPS Energy by launching this first-of-its-kind energy educational augmented reality app,” said Zpryme CEO and Co-Founder, Jason Rodriguez. “The energy space has changed dramatically in recent years with a stronger focus on its customers and renewable energy, and this app focuses on just that. Electrify San Antonio provides a next-level experience into the energy cycle, educating its future consumers, and we couldn’t imagine a better partner with which to go on this journey.”

Electrify San Antonio starts by exploring the inner workings of a CPS Energy power plant and its recycling systems, and demonstrates the process for creating distributed, renewable energy. The app then provides an overview of three separate renewable energy sources and their frameworks and concludes with a unique user experience on how electricity is transmitted and distributed to local communities and businesses.

“As the energy sector continues to evolve, we want to provide students with the tools to know how energy is created and distributed,” said Rudy Garza, CPS Energy’s Chief Customer & Stakeholder Engagement Officer. “With Electrify San Antonio, CPS Energy hopes to provide an understanding of the energy ecosystem while also encouraging students to take action towards a cleaner energy future and potentially consider jobs in the energy industry.”

With the goal of educating students in how energy is made, Electrify San Antonio, CPS Energy, and Zpryme hope to spark creativity and inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers ready to usher in the energy for tomorrow. Electrify San Antonio is free and available for download in the Google Play and the Apple App Store.
