Power outages don’t discriminate. Unless there is a plan for keeping the most important assets running, the entire community goes dark when the power fails. Critical assets go down in homes, businesses, muncipal buildings, schools and military installations alike.

This webinar focuses on resilience on Army installations, which means more than sustaining power 24/7. It also depends on maintaining community resilience and coordinating with the electic utility. Water supply and often waste management, as well as goods, services, and employees come from the locality. All are in it together – the installation, the community and the utility. Concepts revealed in this discusion apply to all communities, with or without a military installaton presence.

Join George Washington University’s Environmental and Energy Management Institute in a 90-minute exploration of better ways for Army installations and utilities to plan together for more cooperative “macrogrid” resilience outcomes in coordination with municipalities.
