Highlights
- By far, the West expressed the most concern with their utility about storm outages, as well as those 65+.
- Overall, 12.8% of the respondents were likely to purchase a distributed energy resource (DER). Not surprisingly, those in the Western region had the largest group (19.0%) likely to buy a DER.
- More people in the Northeast (25.9%) were likely to seek solar information from their utility than any other region.
- A review of findings from March-April 2021 when compared to May 2021 showed high concern about storm outages staying relatively stable (ranging from 23.6% to 26.3%). Likeliness of purchasing a DER also had a small range (12.0% to 13.6%) of respondents. And a similar narrow range of those seeking solar information from their utility (17.9% to 19.1%) was observed.
