U.S. EV Sales
- For October 2022, EV sales reached 85,920, which represents a 10.6% increase over September 2022. On an annual basis, according to data from ANL, this represents a 56.2% increase compared to October 2021 EV sales (55,007).
- In October, PEVs accounted for 7.5% of all light-duty vehicle (LDV) sales, which is up from the 7.0% figure reached in September of 2022.
- Small size SUVs (38%) and midsize cars (25%) made up the majority of PEV models sold through October of 2022.
- Through October, Tesla models have accounted for over a half (54.2%) of EV sales in 2022.
- In October, BEVs accounted for 82% of all PEVs sold (18% for PHEVs).
